About Us:

Christ Covenant Church was established in 1983 as a mission of the Central Carolina Presbytery and a daughter church of Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Al. The church's first building was a small modular unit on a small tract of land in southeast Charlotte.

With the arrival of a full time organizing Pastor, Harry Reeder, the church began to grow rapidly and moved its services to moved to rented space at Charlotte Christian School while it searched for the right tract of land and developed its building plans. The congregation purchased land in Matthews that forms the core of our sixty-nine acre campus, including a twenty-eight acre athletic field complex.
