Christ the King Parish is a Glenmary Mission started in 1964 with a Mass in a trailer. In 1965 land was purchased, and in 1968 the church was built which remains in use today. In 1995 a steeple was erected on the building. Glenmary priests from St. Mary's, Franklin, served the people; from 1988-1993 Fr. Jim Wood served the mission. The first resident pastoral Associated was hired in 1990, and when Fr. Wood left in 1993, Sr. Lene Rubly was hired as Pastoral Administrator and Fr. Frank Ruff, Glenmary, became Sacramental Minister. Christ the King is the only Catholic Church in Allen County. It currently serves 36 families.
