CIFCA Wisconsin is a collaborative educational nonprofit based in the Fox Cities, serving all of Northeast Wisconsin. We are an organization of Artisans and supporters who, through education and collaboration, seek to:
We are incorporated as a nonprofit in the state of Wisconsin and we are currently seeking our 501(c)3 status through the IRS. In the meantime, we are able to accept tax-deductible donations and grant funding through our fiscal receiver, Arts Wisconsin, a 501(c)3 nonprofit.
We offer free or low-cost education opportunities for Artisans in our area. We hold a monthly Artisan Topic that covers important aspects in the business of art including pricing tools, sales tax information, Facebook marketing, portfolio building, taxes, bookkeeping, and general sales information. We also hold a hands on workshop every Second Thursday that provides more one-on-one support and troubleshooting covering various topics. You can find out more or join us by RSVPing through our Facebook page.
We have partnered with Project Blake to help it grow and further its mission to serve disadvantaged youth through art education. We hope to see Project Blake implemented on a regional and national level. Please see our Project Blake section for more information
Our primary focus to accomplish our mission is to collaborate with as many organizations and individuals who share our vision of the value of handcrafted artistry in our region. We are no one's competition, rather we are an inclusive and open organization that recognizes the importance of cooperation and partnership. We have partnered with several area organizations and you can view our current list of partners in our Partners Section.
If you have a project or educational initiative you would like bring CIFCA into, please feel free to contact our executive director, Jennifer Theuerkauf.
In order to give Artisans the best opportunity to learn to sell their art, we focus efforts on promoting, establishing or joining events that benefit Artisans and communities. We like to bring the focus of events that include Artisans back to the value of their work. If you have an event or would like CIFCA to add an Artisan component to your existing event, please e-mail [email protected]
Our educational efforts are for and made possible by our Artisan membership. Our membership is open to Artisans of any level, any medium and for residents of any county in Northeast Wisconsin (listed on our membership page). You can find out more information by exploring our Membership Section.
