During the years of 1921-22 a small group of Circleville business and professional men believed the city needed a service club. A delegation from the Chillicothe Rotary Club convinced these men that Rotary was the best organization to meet their needs.

On February 22 1922, charter no 1807 was presented to the Circleville Rotary Club. This charter meeting had over 200 Rotarians in attendance from Circleville and a number of surrounding cities. Twenty-three of these comprised the new Circleville club. Today there are over 130 members.
