This nighttime parade has the ambiance of a true New Orleans Mardi Gras. Also, enjoy our many arts and crafts shows, concerts, Car Shows, and Run/Walks, which are scheduled throughout the year. Take a walk along the banks of the Ouachita River, which separates Monroe and West Monroe. Said by National Geographic to be one of the top ten most beautiful rivers, the Ouachita River is not only beautiful to look at but the fishing is plentiful too. After that you can stroll through Kiroli Park and enjoy picnicking, tennis, playgrounds, paved walkways for jogging and bicycling, fishing pond, gazebo and conservatory.
