Cocopah Middle School's mission is to produce, respectful, responsible, and resilient young adults who can adapt to an ever-changing global society.
In order to effectively accomplish the Cocopah Middle School mission, the six correlates of effective schools will be utilized as our goals for the 2004-2005 academic year.
Safe and Orderly Environment to create a more caring and safe environment utilizing the stair-step program of Character Counts.
Climate of High Expectations to create a climate for consistency in assessment and instruction of the curriculum across all grade levels and subject areas.
Opportunity to Learn and Time on Task to allow teachers the opportunity to provide a significant amount of classroom time on instruction in essential, curricular concepts and skills.
Frequent Monitory of Student Progress to improve individual student behaviors and performances, as well as the curriculum as a whole, through the development of a school-wide homework policy.
Positive Home and School Relations to improve and strengthen the valuable communication link between Cocopah and the students' homes through a variety of media sources from the school community.
Strong Instructional Leadership to promote a culture of honor in the learning community which encompasses respect, academic integrity, open communication, and the fostering of leadership opportunities.
