About Us:
The Ontario City Library Colony High Branch is located in the Colony High School and shares its facility with the high school library. The Branch Library opened to the public at this location on January 6, 2003. It is a popular materials center for the south Ontario community. Its collections include popular adult and children’s leisure reading as well as basic coverage of popular nonfiction subjects. Whether you want to read a mystery, work on your car or garden, add a deck, learn about diabetes, or any other topic, the Colony Branch Library probably has a book, DVD, or video on it. If not, you can order materials from the Main library and they will usually be available at the Branch by the next working day.
The Branch has children’s books ranging from picture books like Cat in the Hat, to the Harry Potter series, to young adult books. In addition, the Branch has children’s DVDs, videos, CDs, cassettes, magazines, and other materials. The Branch also offers children’s story hours, craft programs, story tellers, Summer Reading Club, and other programs.
Besides books, the Branch has DVDs and videos of theatrical releases, and instructional and educational DVDs and videos. You can check out a big hit movie, or a DVD or video on fly fishing or cheerleading tryout secrets. We also have audiobooks and computer software. The Branch also has seven PC’s with Internet access and word processing programs. The use of the computers is free on a first come, first serve basis with a library card. Printing is 15¢ per page for black & white or 50¢ per page for color.
