History :
In December 1976, our first building was dedicated and we
began a rapid growth. In August 1982, an addition was built in order to
accommodate that growth and to provide facilities and classrooms for our
Christian school. Due to the large numbers in attendance, two services were
required on Sunday mornings, and it became necessary to plan for a new
building. Our services were moved to Lafitte's Landing's Ballroom in May 1985
until the new building was completed in October 1988. The current building
serves us well and is able to handle the growth that we are preparing for as we
grab onto the vision God has given to us to add to our numbers.

Debbie Byer served as interim pastor. Finally, in an answer to prayer, the Lord

The year 2006 brought to close yet another chapter in our
church's history as we bid farewell to the Hardestys as they answered the call
to pastor in Olive Branch
Currently, we have Bible graduates from our congregation serving as missionaries in foreign countries, and serving in home missions as well. And as exciting as this all seems, only God knows what the future holds for His people as we continue to seek His will for our lives and that of the church He has called Community Worship Center.
