Our church is a collection of Christians from many walks of life. Several of us come from other church backgrounds--such as Methodist, Baptist, and Catholic. Others of us grew up in this church and have been here our whole lives. Some of us are young in the faith. Others of us are mature. We're a good mixture of children, youth, adults, and senior adults.
What we all share in common is a love for Jesus our Savior and a desire to grow in our relationship with Him. We do this through worship, fellowship, discipleship, and ministry. Many of these activities are described on our website.
If we haven't already met you at a school ballgame, at the coffee shop, or the grocery store on Main Street, the best way to get to know us is by attending our Sunday morning worship service from 10:30am-11:30pm. We promise to give you a friendly greeting!
In our service, we sing a mixture of hymns and choruses, using the Celebration Hymnal. On several Sundays, our choir sings or someone shares special music. Our prayer time includes a time of silence and concludes with saying together the Lord's Prayer.
Because we value children, we give time each week for a children's story. Kids, preschool-5th grade, come to the front of the church to hear a lesson or story.
The Bible plays a central role in our faith. For this reason, we take time to hear it read. Our pastor--Ted Weis--gives messages that are relevant, interesting, and Bible-based. After the offering, our worship wraps up with a song.
Our service has a traditional, yet comfortable feel. Some people come to church wearing a tie. Others dress in comfortable jeans. When we come together, we feel like family.
