At Congregational Church of Soquel, we celebrate a Christian faith marked by simplicity and inspired through creative application in a changing world. The Bible is central to our journey of faith and provides common ground for our life together as a church.
True to our Congregational tradition, we gather not around a creed but instead a mutual covenant. As a "gathered people," we agree to walk with God and with one another in the way of love demonstrated to us by Jesus Christ. The essential beliefs of Christian faith contribute to our unity. However, in the non-essentials we celebrate our diversity and practice charity toward one another.
According to the grace of God, we believe the hearts of all people can be touched through faith in Christ. In this spirit, we seek to occupy a "A Heart of Faith at the Heart of Our Community."
The cross pictured to the side illustrates the character of our ministry. A heart of faith, which is central to all we do, is surrounded by four important qualities, consisting of worship, service, learning, and friendship.
