About Us:

At Coralville United Methodist Church we believe that we are all children of God, created by God with our many differences, and that all are welcome at God’s table. We are an inter-generational, diverse community that is grounded in God’s unconditional love, committed to helping one another grow, and devoted to serving God’s people by working for justice and peace.

Whether young or old, rich or poor, filled with hope or despair, seeker or skeptic, we have a place for you at our table. We are a church that accepts you as you are and challenges you to grow further, while offering the support of a caring community of people who are on that same journey toward God. 

Life can be complicated and demanding, we know. We all face pressures, obligations, burdens and disappointments – even as we celebrate life’s joys and transitions. It’s easy to become overwhelmed, exhausted or discouraged.

At the same time, our culture is becoming more individualistic and opportunities for community are harder to find. Yet we all need encouragement. We need someone to say, “I love you, I believe in you, I accept you.” The good news of our Christian faith is that ours is a God of acceptance and encouragement. When the world threatens to rip our hearts out, God is there to put heart back into us, to re-light the spark and give us new life.

At Coralville UMC we accept and recognize the holy within you. Our hope is that you may know Christ’s love for you, and that you will walk with us as we help one another grow to become the very hands and feet of Jesus in this world. We may not be perfect at this, but our hearts and minds are always focused on these goals.
