The Cornell Cooperative Extension educational system enables people to improve their lives and communities through partnerships that put experience and research knowledge to work.
Cooperative Extension’s program areas include: Family and Consumer Sciences, Health and Nutrition, Natural Resources, Home and Grounds, and 4-H Youth Development. These programs are vital to our community and almost all are offered free or at a minimal cost. A few examples of our educational workshops are: Making Ends Meet, Saving Energy Saving Dollars, Parenting Apart, Logger Training and Managing Your Forest Lands. Youth programs include: Adirondack Guides, 4-H Shooting Sports, Adventure Games and Public Presentations. These life skills programs give both youth and adults an opportunity to better their lives through Cornell University research and know-how to make sound confident decisions concerning family, home, business, finances, and the future.
