Our mission at the farm is to maximize the flavor, nutrition and quality of every product we produce through sustainable old world practices. 2009 was the milestone when Crème de la Crop became the first USDA Certified Organic farm in Northwest Indiana. The heirloom crops and heritage livestock at the farm increase the sustainability of the operation by providing a more balanced ecosystem. The Landgrebe family has provided the community for over 65 years on the 70 acres located directly off U.S. Route 30 in Valparaiso, Indiana. In 2003, Leann Landgrebe Pelzel founded Crème de la Crop. The farm has grown and evolved over the years and now we provide certified organic produce and heritage chicken eggs year round. Leann and her husband Chef Jason Pelzel are constantly looking ahead and working to improve the quantity and variety of products they are able to provide the community.
