History :
Comprised of six smaller districts, Joyce, Crescent Bay (Ramapo), Gettysburg, Piedmont, Freshwater, And Twin, organized in 1920. The School was Constructed in 1921 and 1922 at a cost of a $55,000.00. The first school board consisted of Emma Miller, Mike Schmitt and Walter Fairchild. First Superintendent was Wm. F. Pool. The first Graduates were Elmer Chritchfield, Gladys (Bourm) Ross, Goldie (Bourm) Edwards and Margaret Kerr. In The school year of 1922 and 1923 and there were 121 Students, in 1965 there are 185 students. A new building Was completed in 1964 at an approximate cost of $100,000.00.
