About Us:
The fair began in 1972 on historic Custer Avenue. Each year since then artists, craftspeople, antique dealers, restauranteurs, entertainers and the business community get together with 120,000 attendees for this award-winning Northshore tradition.
Custer Fair is a program of Piccolo Theatre, Inc., an organization committed to providing shared experiences in the arts to strengthen community. Between 1998 and 2003, PTI restored the Main Street Metra Station, providing excellent commuter services and serving the community as a cultural center called the Piccolo Arts Depot, long-time home of the community-based theatre company Piccolo Theatre Ensemble.
