Thanks for taking a moment to view this page about our Great Strides team, Team Sarah, and our efforts to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The CF Foundation is a fantastic organization! Through patient advocacy and networking, monitoring the outcomes of individual clinics and treatments, and funding basic research and drug development the CF Foundation has helped push the average life expectancy of Cystic Fibrosis patients from early childhood in the 1950s to 37 today. However, we continue to lose precious lives to CF every day. That's why your help is needed now more than ever to ensure that a cure is found sooner - rather than later.

Financial support from the CF Foundation has recently helped develop a number of new treatments, from inhaled saline solution that mimics the way ocean spray improves lung health in surfers with Cystic Fibrosis, to a new drug (VX809), currently in phase II clinical trials, that works by "correcting" the malfunctioning protein created by one of Sarah's mutations. By helping fund this research we will help Sarah live a long and healthy life.

Great Strides is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest and most successful national fundraising event. This year, Team Sarah is walking in the Great Strides walk at Hopkins Park in DeKalb, IL on April 14th, And again with Sarah's family at Hessel Park in Champaign, IL on April 21st. If you will be in the Champaign-Urbana area, or DeKalb, we would love to have you join our team and walk with us! The walk is 5K, starts at 10:30am(Champaign) and 12pm(DeKalb).
