Mission Statement:
Dawson-Boyd Arts Association is focused on nurturing the visual and performing arts for residents in west-central Minnesota and surrounding communities. Our mission is to present a variety of quality arts events throughout the year and to provide opportunities for local artists and musicians to perform and exhibit. As often as possible, we link these professional performances with student activities.
History:
Our organization was created in 2001 when the Dawson-Boyd High School Auditorium was renovated and dedicated as a performing space. Dawson-Boyd Arts Association functions with a ten-member volunteer board of directors, a performing arts director and member volunteers. Most events take place at Memorial Auditorium in the Dawson-Boyd High School.
