Deliver the Dream invites as many as 15 families each month to attend a family retreat. Each family that attends has a member - whether it's a child or parent - living with an illness such as Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer, Autism, HIV/AIDS, Down Syndrome or Cerebral Palsy. Retreats allow families to relax, enjoy time together, forge new friendships and create support groups with other families in similar circumstances. When one person in a family is sick, the entire family is impacted and there are very few organizations nationwide that focus on the whole family unit like Deliver the Dream. The 501 (c)(3) program serves these families and helps them to enhance coping skills, reduce stress and cultivate relationships with other families by combining traditional recreational activities with therapeutic workshops, peer-to-peer discussion groups and expressive arts and music activities.  The retreats are provided at no cost to participants.
