DMK Building Vision

DMK students are actively engaged in the learning process as they acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to become responsible, contributing citizens within their community and beyond.  Our standards-based curriculum acknowledges that all children can learn when they have clear expectations within rigorous classrooms. We recognize that students learn in a variety of ways and that we need to be sensitive to differences in learning styles and to provide additional support to children who need it.  Students are positioned to become critical thinkers, problem solvers and lifelong learners.

Within a nurturing and safe environment, DMK staff members actively engage all students in the creative, analytical and growth-oriented learning process.  We are dedicated to the education of the whole child and strive to create an atmosphere in which all students are nurtured emotionally to excel academically.

All stakeholders remain actively involved as advocates for their students and supporters of the school’s programs and staff.  At DMK, students, teachers, administrators, parents and support staff are part of a community of learners.  Through these partnerships we strive to support our students as they embrace the challenges of the 21st Century.  We stand together—DMK all the way!
