The Dix Hills Evangelical Free Church was founded in 1964 by a group of young couples who had moved here from Brooklyn. On December 1, 1963, ten couples assembled in a home, together with Rev. Robert Tonnesen, to discuss the posibility of establishing an Evangelical Free Church in the Huntington area.

The purpose of our church us towfold:

To Build Up The Family of God through sharing the Gospel, caring for God's children, and celebrating the Fatherhood of God.

To Build Up Our Families in God by providing healthy environments for families, Biblical instruction for each family member, and recognizing the gifts of singleness.
