Nestled in a lovely waterfront community, Dowling College now serves more than 7,000 full and part-time undergraduate and graduate students through its four schools: Arts & Sciences, Business, Education and Aviation.

The Dowling Library is dedicated to supporting the community by providing local and historic information. One of the library's featured projects is Historic Oakdale - a collection of digitized postcards and photographs documenting the history of Oakdale, Long Island.
