About Us

Duffield Primary School, located in the western part of Scott County, houses Kindergarten through Fourth Grades serves as a feeder school to Rye Cove Intermediate School. The present school was built in 1955, with an addition completed in 1977. The school is a culmination of many smaller schools which had their beginnings in a modest log church building in the late 1800's, early 1900's. With school consolidation in 1990 Duffield became a primary school for grades K-4, including students from Fairview and Rye Cove communities into the school population.
