Our staff is committed to providing every student a quality educational experience. The Edgewood Junior High School academic program is based on a team based flexible schedule. Students are divided by heterogeneous grouping into two "block teams" at each grade level. Teachers are assigned to teams according to their teaching styles, special training and licensure.
Edgewood Junior High School is proud to be a C.L.A.S.S. school. We have two Life Goals for our students: Do the right thing, and Treat people right. This is the focus of our school climate and our instruction. It is our belief that if these goals are met, our potential as a school and as individuals will be without limit.
As a learning community, we strive to maintain a first class facility for students and staff in the area of technology. During the 2006-2007 school year, our Industrial Technology classes as well as our Family and Consumer Sciences class will be moving toward computer based learning modules. This will afford our students more hands-on "real-world" experience in these classes.
We are proud of the accomplishments of students, staff and the entire school community in the daily endeavor to make Edgewood Junior High School the best educational program possible. We are a disciplined environment dedicated to developing life-long learners.
