The El Sobrante Library is located in a scenic valley east of San Pablo Bay. The library, built in 1961 and enlarged in 1975 to double its size, serves a community of 16,000 residents. Its public meeting room provides the space for local government agencies to hold their regular meetings, and is also used by many local civic groups. The Library provides a wide variety of programs for children, teens and adults, including weekly story times, film screenings, the Remainders book club, and more. In addition to programming the library also provides access to public internet computers, WIFI, and a various formats of library materials.
