History
In 1910, the Elwood Township Carnegie Library was opened with financial assistance of $9,000 from Andrew Carnegie. In later years a children's room was added, and more recently the basement has been redecorated to serve as a meeting room for library programs and community organizations. This small town library offers the usual circulating materials, children's programming, and microcomputer and photocopying services for patron use. Film, record and video services are also available through interlibrary loan.
