The Everglades Community Church of Everglades City, Florida, shall meet in Christian fellowship for the purpose of the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ,to shelter and nurture the spiritual fellowship of the children of God, to provide the maintenance of divine worship, to preserve the truth, to promote social righteousness and to exhibit the Kingdom of Heaven in this world.

We believe God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit acted decisively in Jesus Christ to bring salvation, healing and wholeness to all who believe in Him and trust Him with their eternal souls.

We believe God’s Spirit is at work today in our community and the world, changing minds and hearts and transforming human lives to and for the glory of God.

Everglades Community Church was born by the Grace of God in 1926. It exists today to introduce Jesus Christ as a way of life to our community and the world around us in order that many may come to “taste and see that the Lord is good.”

By the Holy Spirit we are empowered to be faithful; through

Corporate worship, gathering to hear God’s Word proclaimed, receive Holy Baptism and partake of Holy Communion; through

Prayer, as faithful believers who practice the power of prayer; through

Study, growing in Biblical understanding of God’s Word; through

Fellowship, by sharing life’s joys and sorrows together as the church, the family of God, and as a larger community; through

Service, by reaching out to our community and to a world in need; through

Stewardship, knowing that all we have belongs to God and that we are to be faithful stewards supporting this church and those mission opportunities for which we shall choose.

Our mission is to live in such a way that all we do and say shall be for the glory of God.
