The Evesham Police Department was established in July of 1966. Prior to July of 1966, the residents of Evesham Township relied on State Police coverage during daytime hours and a volunteer force of local residents led by Chief William Bradley who patrolled between the hours of 6 PM and 6 AM.The first full-time police department, headed by Chief Andrew Jensen, consisted of a force of 7 officers serving this small farming community located halfway between Philadelphia and Fort Dix
Today the police department serves Burlington Countys largest municipality. The township, more commonly known by its postal address of Marlton, is approximately 30 square miles with an estimated population of 45,000. Over the years the department has continually attempted to provide officers with the best available equipment and training in order to deploy an efficient and effective patrol force
