History

In the early part of 1964, a group of believers from Washington began to study the Bible and pray together, eventually forming a midweek Bible Study. Later in that same year, 30 individuals from this Bible Study committed themselves to launch a new church named Faith Baptist Church. The current site was purchased a few years later, and the first phase of the current facility was completed in July of 1969.

In the years that followed, the congregation continued to grow, the building was expanded twice, and the people enjoyed the ministry of a diverse but capable series of Senior and Associate Ministry Staff. The current Pastor, D. James Fleming, is an “Intentional Interim Pastor” who came in January, 2015, to help the church prepare for it’s next season of ministry. During his tenure, the people of Faith have not been marking time waiting for Pastor Next. Instead, they are stepping up to what God wants to accomplish through them today even as they prepare for greater challenges tomorrow.
