About Faith Lutheran
Faith Lutheran Church was founded in 1964. Myers Hall was our original sanctuary but, since the completion of our current sanctuary in 1989 it has served as a fellowship hall. You can still see where the original altar was because the sanctuary cross still hangs in that location. In 1969, Faith Lutheran School and Daycare was founded to serve the needs of the local community. Since that time our family and ministry have grown.
In 1996, we founded the Reaves Home Ministry. The Reaves Home is a group home for the mentally challenged. Through the ministry of the Reaves Home we are able to provide a clean, safe, Christ-centered facility for the mentally challenged.
The year 2004 was a busy year for our church family. A new mission church, called Grace Lutheran, was started on North Merritt Island. In the Fall of 2007, we celebrated with them as they dedicated their new school and worship facility. Our congregation's 40th anniversary was in 2004. The grand opening of our retirement center, Cedar Creek, was also in 2004.
Currently, we are renewing our desire to be a positive influence on our community. We are actively seeking to reach out through acts of service to people of all walks of life. Be they big or small, we want to express to them the love God has shown us by giving us eternal life through Jesus Christ. For more information on our current ministry activities please contact our church office.
