Just up the hill from the Columbia River in Deer Island, Oregon, Fawnwood holds 136 acres of forest, fields, ravines and our small farm. Since it is home to a herd of elk, migrating birds, stinging nettle, wild bees, healthy soil organisms and other folks of that nature, we aspire to cultivate healthy ecosystems and abundant food sources for everyone.
This year, through our CSA program, we are offering over 45 different vegetable and fruit varieties. We deliver to Columbia County and the Portland Metro area. We are in our second year of growing in this location. Although we are not certified organic, we understand that biocides and synthetic fertilizers do not support healthy systems and our growing practices reflect this understanding. Consider joining our Fawnwood Farm Community by purchasing a share this year!
Our delivery season starts Tuesday, June 16th and ends Friday October 30th.
If you become a Working Member, you'll receive $75 off the Standard Share membership in return for 8 hours of volunteer work at our farm during the 20 weeks of membership.
There will also be a Free Box of veggies and fruit for member trade at each site, in case there's something you don't like or want more of. We will also include our trial varieties in this box so that you can let us know what you think.
