Finney County's economy consists mainly of farming and ranching in addition to some manufacturing. Wheat, corn and milo are the primary crops along with soybeans, sunflowers, alfalfa and others. IBP, Inc., has their largest beef packing plant at Holcomb, KS seven miles west of Garden City.
