A small group of Christians met in the public school house across the street from the present church building on July 21, 1860 and organized our existing Baptist Church. Red Bluff was merely a hamlet in 1860 and these pioneer men and women were dedicated Christians who believed that an organized church would better serve their Lord. The church was accepted into the Sacramento Valley Baptist Association in September, 1860.
Ground breaking for the present sanctuary building was held in November, 1910 and the dedication ceremoies followed after construction in October 1911.
