Florida Keys Area Health Education Center Promotess health and wellness through community education, services-learning programs, health screenings recrutment and progessional development of health providers, and information support services.

The Florida Keys Area Health Education Center was established as a 501 (c) (3) non profit corporation in 1990, serving all of Monroe county. The FKAHEC currently exists as part of the Florida AHEC Network consisting of ten Centers and five medical schools around the State of Florida. Through its affiliation with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and other medical university partners, Florida State University, Nova Southeastern, University of Florida and uNiversity of south Florida the FAHEC program has supported and coordinated a vital statewide sustem of safety met providers.
