The district mission statement represents the core purpose that all district activities and decisions must address. The core purpose acts as an essential screen and filter through which district and building level actions and decisions are viewed and shaped.

Freedom's Mission Statement embodies our community's expectation that all students must be challenged academically to their fullest potential regardless of gender, race, economic background, or education label. Over the past 31 years the Freedom School District has established a reputation of providing most students with a strong foundation in basic academic skills. Our Mission statement recognizes this district strength and was developed to emphasize that all of our students will need to achieve higher order thinking and academic skills that go beyond the basic level if they are to be successful in the work places and society of the twenty-first century.

The mission of an academically challenging education for all students brings a need for academic innovation and an increase in the type and number of opportunities for more of our youth to experience steady and progressive academic achievement and success. Our mission also creates a heightened sense of accountability for district staff to the students and public which they serve.
