Friends of Lake Quannapowitt is comprised of people who share an interest in protecting Lake Quannapowitt and its watershed.  The organization was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in 1991 to address the concerns of users and abutters of the lake, promote safe recreational uses of the lake and its shoreline, conduct educational programs to promote a clean and pollution-free lake, research and monitor water quality conditions, and protect the lake's shoreline against further encroachment.  We sponsor many programs in Wakefield and welcome similar minded volunteers.
