Friendship Community Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps immigrants and refugees in the Iowa City area learn English and life skills and make connections with neighbors and resources in their new community, including help with job searches, introductions to community organizations, help signing up for healthcare.gov health insurance during enrollment periods, and assistance with personal issues ranging from landlord problems to seeking political asylum.

We have frequent need of teachers and substitute teachers with a background in English and/or languages, interpreters, and friendly people who would like to help students in our English program practice informal English conversation.
