Art Council is a non profit organization founded by artists and art educators--to make high quality art education available to the people of Maine. Art Council currently offers classes in drawing, painting, sculpture and pottery--for students of all ages

Art Council has been under development for many years, with input and involvement from numerous artists around the state. We provide low cost, high quality art educational programs to students of all ages and skills. To keep the costs reasonable for our students, Art Council seeks support from businesses and individuals across Maine. Art Council holds fund raising events such as Art Sales, Art Festivals and Art Auctions to help meet our financial needs, and keep programs affordable. We seek and accept usable art supplies for use by our students during classes--please contact us if you have supplies you would like to donate for use by Art Council students.

Art Council believes art education can offer people both young and old a way to express themselves better--art education can open minds and hearts to greater possibilities than the individual may have ever dared dream. An art education class can be at once a social event and avenue to personal growth. Through art education we can build a better Maine for all of us!
