About Us:

Part of Toastmasters International, Gelfand Good Morning Toastmasters Club helps its members to develop communication and leadership skills through the art of public speaking and by providing a supportive environment for practicing these skills.

Our meetings, led by a different Toastmaster each week, include prepared speeches and a session of impromptu remarks called Table Topics. In addition, members fulfill the roles of "Ah" Counter, Body Language Monitor, Grammarian and Timer. Evaluators review the prepared speeches, identifying areas for improvement and praising success -- always in a constructive, encouraging fashion.

Members progress as Toastmasters by following a specific education program. The first milestone, Competent Communicator, is achieved by delivering 10 speeches that fulfill specific objectives outlined in the "Competent Communication" manual.

Members also receive "Toastmaster," a monthly magazine published by Toastmasters International.
