Genoa Elementary is located in Perry Township between Massillon and Canton. Genoa School was originally built in 1896 and still stands directly south of the present structure. William and Maugon Allon were the first directors of the two-room school. There were 90 students and the teacher was paid three dollars per day for their teaching skills.

Today, Genoa Elementary has over 400 students in Kindergarten through Fifth grade. Genoa is an excellent place for learning and has a long history of community involvement and volunteerism.
