Mission Statement:
In the society of today and tomorrow, changes in technology have brought about an explosion of knowledge unprecedented in any other time of history. The school's role in this world is becoming one of teaching the individual to make use of this knowledge and create new knowledge, new technology, new markets, and new ideas.
We have become a learning society, constantly gathering information, analyzing it, refining it, and creating new information to begin the cycle over again. This district's mission of educating its youth must now provide, within its existing resources, a base for successfully participating in this new society and to direct focus on the means with which those young people will achieve a degree of success. That must must include:
The ability to command a living wage.
The ability to participate in community, local, state, national, or world governing.
The ability to fulfill the fullest potential attainable by the individual.
And the respect for the worth and dignity of all individuals.
To help students meet the demands and challenges society makes of the individual, the high school should be committed to providing useful educational experiences for all students. This can be accomplished through community support, a competent staff, and a well-defined curriculum within a flexible framework that provides materials and experiences that are appropriate to the individual learner. To support the worth and dignity of the individual, the high school should provide a supportive environment through guidance, counseling, encouragement, and positive interaction with the staff.
