Glassford Hill Middle School is proud to be a school of character. You will find several student, parent, and staff friendly measures at GHMS that implement this program. During the first week of school students are trained on the procedures and policies at GHMS including Character Counts! Each student spends a minimum of ninety minutes in all learning about how they can be respectful, responsible, fair, trustworthy, caring, and a good citizen. During these individual lessons students are actively engaged in role-modeling situations to help them understand the importance of demonstrating good character.

Parents are our partners in the important job of educating the children of this community. We encourage students to do special things at home and in the community, as well as at school, to demonstrate good character. For example, helping around the house more, doing a task without having to be asked, turning in homework on time, and saying thank you.
