About Us

Today G.R. Whitfield is a PreK-8 school in Grimesland, NC. Our campus includes 3 main buildings, the newest addition was completed in 2001.

Our K-3 reading program is funded through the federal Reading First Grant. We also have the Reading Recovery program to compliment our reading instruction through Title 1.

We have special classes ranging from the TMD class to pullout TAG groups.

Our middle school offers clubs and athletics to our students including football, cheerleading, volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball and baseball.
