History:
It all began in the Upper Room.
The Upper Room has important scriptural meaning, but it also is part of the early history of Fox Valley Area Christian Church ("FVACC"). This was the beginning name of our congregation. In November of 1992, a group of about 20 "pioneers" began gathering to worship the Lord on Sunday mornings.
Led by our first minister, Pastor Bob Brooks, worship was held in a second floor conference room (thus the "upper room") of a small hotel near Fox Valley Shopping Mall in Aurora, Illinois. By March of 1993, the group had grown too large for its upper room, and the worship service was shifted to the gym at McCarty School in the Fox Valley Villages area of Aurora.
