There are patients on hospice in the Kenosha/Racine area that need YOU!
Grace Hospice is seeking compassionate individuals willing to share their time and special talents in support of our patients and their families on hospice. Volunteers are the heart of our hospice team who assist with any number of patient and family needs ranging from social visits to provide companionship and company to helping with special last wishes and celebrations. Your time and sharing of yourself can make a meaningful difference for those who need it most.
We need volunteers to help with:
Companionship
Caregiver Support (respite)
Veteran to Veteran outreach
and More.
In order to become a volunteer with Grace Hospice, all volunteers must attend our orientation program which consists of 10 hours of training specific to the position. All volunteers will need to consent to the drug testing and background check, as well as an annual TB test at our expense. Volunteers must be 18 years or older in order to volunteer directly with our patients, however, we do allow those younger than 18 to volunteer behind the scenes with administrative duties within our West Allis location. Also, you will be asked to provide us with a copy of your drivers license and automobile insurance at the time of your training.
