Research shows that ninety percent of a child's brain development occurs before the child begins Kindergarten.  In many cases, parents are responsible for providing loving guidance and high quality learning to help their child develop to his or her full potential.  The Great Start Collaborative and the Great Start Parent Coalition are working with parents to spread the message on the importance of building a new system for young children.

 

 

 

Become your child's voice for change by joining a group of parent volunteers.  The Parent Coalition of Genesee County is on a mission to ensure that every young child has a great start in school and in life.

 

 

 

The Parent Coalition is a network of concerned parents sharing information and resources.  Our goal is to create awareness and educate local communities regarding early childhood education and services.
