History of Our Church:
Our church began as a Bible Class in the home of Clemma and James Lear in the Spring of 1917. Two years later, a Sunday School class was formed by those from the Bible Class, with a first day's attendance of 45.
Rev. L. B. Zent became the first pastor, and a meeting hall was soon used at 894 Heaton Street. The congregation outgrew an even expanded hall, so a tabernacle, which seated 400, was constructed at Seventh and Chestnut Streets in Hamilton in 1925. The growth did not stop there. In 1929, our church at Pleasant and Woodlawn was constructed. Over the next 70 years, expansion continued with a parsonage, parking lots, a gymnasium, and numerous classrooms and offices.
As evidenced from our church's past, the Lord will continue to lead us to share His Word and grow in number. Let us always continue to "Follow In Faith."
