About Us:

The Harlow Family has been a part of the Vermont sugarmaking tradition since 1927, when Uncle Frank started the farm and first set out a few hundred buckets. A fourth generation on the Harlow Farm carries out this tradition today. Even though the methods have changed a bit over the years, we still get excited about tapping the trees along about the end of February or the first of March. The sugaring season only lasts about four to six weeks. This is a busy time, boiling the sap down and making our crop of syrup for you to enjoy throughout the coming year. If you are in Vermont, you are always invited to stop by to visit. Our farm sales room and Vermont gift shop are open daily, from March 1st 'til late December. We always try to be boiling on the weekends during the sugaring season, and we would be glad to have you stop in to watch the process. You might also enjoy visiting during the summer months, when we offer pick-your-own and ready-picked strawberries, raspberries and blueberries ... or in September, when the maple trees display their brilliant colors and the apple trees are laden down with crisp red fruit, and you can pick your own apples in our orchard or visit our cider mill to watch fresh cold apple cider being pressed.
