At the middle school level both students and teachers are divided into teaching "teams". Each team usually consists of 75 to 100 students and four teachers. Within each structure, the academic areas of mathematics, science, language arts, and social studies are covered. Here at Fisher there are two teams at each grade level.

Special areas become part of each student's total education for the first time at the middle school level. These areas, known as Unified Arts, include physical education, health, music, art, foreign language, computer technology, and industrial technology.

Guidance counselors, social worker, psychologist, special education resource teachers, and paraprofessionals also comprise an important part of the total staff especially trained and selected to serve the needs of our students.
