The Hartford City Parks Department has been in existence since 1971. It is governed by a 4 person, non-partizan board. The Park Board holds their meeting on the second Tuesday of each month. The department currently staffs 5 part-time summer employees, and a part-time park superintendent.

The park season runs from May 1st to October 1st. Hartford City is unique because there are various parks located throughout the town. Each park has its own characteristics, with each facility being a little different.

The 5 parks listed below are available for rent throughout the summer. There is a $25.00 key deposit, with a $15.00 refund upon return of the key. The keys will allow access to shelter houses and restrooms located in each of the parks. Anyone interested in renting one of these parks may contact the Utilities Office at 765-348-0410.
