Our Church:
We met as a church for the first time on Sunday, February 1, 1987 at the Pleasant Hill Recreation Center. Eventually, we settled at the Dome Theater in Pleasant Hill, where we met for the next several years. Calling ourselves "Family Worship Center", we dared to dream of a church, a community, where people could experience the presence of God and see a great outpouring of His Spirit upon our valley. The Lord brought many new families to our church and we quickly outgrew several different facilities. In 1995, we felt the Lord leading us to change our name to Harvest Church because we believed God is bringing in a "great harvest of souls"! After renting facilities for over a decade, in 1998, the Lord miraculously gave us the property, formerly known as "Capri Theatre" at Park N Shop, in downtown Concord. Although there has been resistance, the Lord's favor has been upon us. Today, Harvest Church is a thriving congregation being used by God to not only influence our valley, but nations of the world. We are committed to reaching people and helping them become fully devoted followers of Christ. Take a look at the virtual tour of the design for the renovated Harvest Center.
